Sperm cryo is a less expensive alternative to embryo cryo, however mouse line recovery from sperm can be more difficult and costly than from frozen embryos. PMPM Sperm Cryo services are ideal for researchers with mouse lines that can be recovered using wild type oocyte donors. Further breeding of at least one generation would be required to produce homozygous progeny.
