LSI researchers awarded funding through 2026 NSERC Discovery Research Program awards

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is investing $630 million in new Discovery Research Program awards—NSERC’s largest investment area and a key driver of Canada’s leading scientific and engineering breakthroughs. These investments provide long-term support that enable researchers to push the boundaries of knowledge and pursue bold, transformative ideas across a range of disciplines, including defence and dual-use technologies, Arctic research, AI, quantum science, biotechnology, and clean technologies.
