Dr. Moritz Koch wins 2021 Klaus Tschira Foundation KlarText award

Congratulations to LSI’s The/Lifeline Newsletter Sustainability Columnist Dr. Moritz Koch, who has received a prestigious KlarText award in biology from the Klaus Tschira Foundation.

The science communication award recognizes “particularly successful, generally understandable presentations” of recent PhD’s own doctoral theses. Awards are given in categories in the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science. This year’s six winners each wrote a German-language article intended to inspire interested laypeople about current research.

Koch and the other five top communicators prevailed against more than 200 competitors in convincing a jury of media professionals and researchers. Each KlarText awardee receives a cash prize of €7,500.
