Dr. Julian Davies elected to U.S. National Academy of Sciences

The Life Sciences Institute congratulates Dr. Julian Davies on his election as a foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences in recognition of his distinguished scientific career. He is one of only 30 Canadians to hold this honour.

When asked why this is so special to him, Dr. Davies replied: “It means I must have accomplished something … but I’m going to keep working.”

Julian Davies is a member of the LSI’s Chemical Biology of Disease (CBD) Research Group and is professor emeritus in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
